Taste the Rainbow…Carrots!

Carrots aren’t just for rabbits (although Maestra  Cinthya’s rabbit, Rocket, gets to eat the leaves), they are for Adelante students who love a crunchy snack! Food Club members presented and shared these beautiful rainbow carrots with their classmates.  Did you know that just one medium carrot will give you more than enough Vitamin A for the day? (171%!)  Or that the average person eats 17 pounds of carrots every year?  (Maestra Jenna thinks she eats 20!)  We love carrots!

4th Grade Scientists

Is soil the best way to germinate pea seeds?  Or will a non-soil mix work better for pea germination?  These are the questions that the fourth graders are working hard to find the answers to.  Learning about the scientific method is way more fun when you get to be a scientist!
